The secret to effective marketing is focusing on marketing that gets results. That's the spirit behind The Zweig A/E Marketing Letter 2008 Marketing Excellence Awards.

The Zweig A/E Marketing Letter 2008 Marketing Excellence Awards will recognize outstanding and effective marketing in the architecture, engineering, construction, and environmental consulting industry by awarding first-, second-, and third-place winners in nine categories: advertisement, custom magazine, direct mail campaign, external newsletter, feature writing, media relations campaign, special event marketing campaign, target marketing, and web site. In addition, a Best in Show will be chosen from the first-place winners in each category to honor the best of the best!

Winners will be the AEC or environmental consulting firms that have generated measurable results from marketing campaigns or activities. Winners will be determined based on those demonstrated results, as well as creativity and achievement of marketing objectives. A group of judges, including ZweigWhite consultants and newsletter editors, as well as expert industry practitioners, will assess each entry based on the above criteria.

The Zweig A/E Marketing Letter 2008 Marketing Excellence Awards are limited to firms that derive the majority of their revenue from the practice of architecture, engineering, planning, environmental consulting, or allied disciplines. Design/build firms, which provide both design and construction services are also eligible. The firm must have conceived the idea for the marketing campaign/piece internally (i.e. materials developed entirely by hired consultants are not eligible). Printing, graphic design, or web design could be outsourced, for example, as long as the concepts are directed by the internal group. The piece/campaign item must have been created and distributed in 2006 or 2007. Only firms that were in business for the entirety of 2007 and are still in business as of January 1, 2008 are eligible.
